In 1995, L.A. Weekly sent me to Cleveland to cover the opening of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum. When I read the latest Rock Hall inductee announcement last month, I remembered the cover story and flashed back on the fact that it came out before the Weekly had a web site, as well as the fact that most copies of the article had the pages shuffled in the wrong order.
My brother Lindsay inspired me to dig up the pulp, and thanks to the miracle of print-recognition software, I scanned it and posted my saga of glorious Cleveland -- drinking in the morning, questing for dangerous barbecue, meditating on the mythic death wish that is rock stardom.
