Fri. Jan. 31 -- Dan Rosenboom's new "Absurd in the Anthropocene" brings the trumpeter's fusoid compositions to a dense boil with heavy layerings of psychedelia, atmo and sprung rhythms. Never settling for less than the best, Rosenboom pulls out all the stops to launch the record with a 14-piece ensemble featuring David Binney, Gavin Templeton, Alex Noice, Gary Novak and Troy Zeigler.
